Noosa Everglades SELF GUIDED camping kayak tours

Kayak | Camp | Hike | Explore Pristine Wilderness | Travel at Your own Pace

Our self guided multi day Noosa kayak camping tours are perfect for those who want to unwind in a majestic wilderness location. Our camping tours depart from the Elanda Point Canoe Launch (5 minutes north of Boreen Point, 30 minutes from Noosa) and are perfect for individuals, couples or families with older kids.

Immerse yourself in a pristine and untouched wilderness as you traverse one of only two Everglades in the world. This stunning location boasts tranquil natural vistas, home to over 44% of Australia’s avian species and 1365 unique plant varieties. The Noosa Everglades system encompasses a vast expanse of majestic lakes and meandering upper Noosa River wilderness.

Don’t have your own camping gear or don’t want to travel all the way here with it in tow? That’s absolutely fine, we can supply all your gear except for first aid, food and personal items!

Why Book our Multi day kayak tours

  • Depart from the Elanda Point Canoe launch, located within the Great Sandy National Park

  • Located within over 150,000 acres of pure wilderness

  • Unlimited access to the Noosa Everglades system

  • We use expedition kayaks that are built for speed and bad weather

    • Unlike canoes and ‘sit on’ kayaks, our expedition kayaks are built with multi day adventure in mind

    • All of your equipment is stoed inside the kayak and not ontop, so it doesn’t get blown off or fall off if it’s windy. It also doesn’t get rained on if you have some rain during your trip

    • Our kayaks have very low wind resistance when the wind picks up. Canoes and ‘sit on’ kayaks, are very hard to paddle into and accross the wind, especially when you have all of your gear on the kayak as well

  • Our kayaks have a built in cooler section. We provide you with an esky (cooler box) to keep your food cool. We also provide you with an ice brick so you don’t have to bring one

  • See as much of the everglades as possible in our fibreglass expedition kayaks. These kayaks are built for speed and are your best chance of seeing as much as possible

  • No ‘zones’ that you can and can’t go into

Kayak Camping Frequently Asked Questions

+ What can I do while I'm camping?

You mean apart from kayaking and camping in the wilderness and simply enjoying the serenity!?

Okay fair question, you can obviously enjoy a refreshing swim in the healing tanin infused waters of the everglades.

You can also hike to the cooloola sandpatch. Checkout our video HERE

+ Why is a kayak better to take camping than a canoe?

Our fibreglass expedition kayaks are sooooo much faster than a canoe. Our kayaks are easier to paddle and easier to maintain a steady direction. Once you use one of our kayaks for camping, you will never want to go back to a canoe.

A quick video on why our kayaks are great for the everglades - We had paddled 35 minutes and caught up to the canoers who had left an hour before us. We were definitely enjoying ourselves more lol
