More about our gheerulla loop hike

As with all of our hikes, we start at Outdoor Adventure Australia home base. Enjoy the luxury of the last flushing toilet you will see for two days!

From here we spend a couple of hours transporting everyone to the hike start point.

The valleys are deep and the small creeks are swallowed by the dense foliage of the rain forest.

Experience being surrounded by dense forest for an entire weekend. Walking through rain forest to the sound of the Bellbird is something that we simply can’t get enough of. The energizing and organic sights, sounds and smells accompany you through day and night. Leaving you tired but fulfilled and full of stories and wanderlust.

The often challenging environment makes this particular hike a really good preparatory hike for our bigger hikes because the needs of the hiker are quite diverse over its duration.

Very professional. Felt safe. Had a lot of fun.

We just finished the Cooloola great walk with Hike Australia. Fantastic experience and expertly guided by Kris and Chontelle. Very good equipment and planning... Above all it was a lot of fun and definitely 5 stars for Hike Australia. Thinking about the Carnarvon gorge walk next!
