Noosa Everglades Canoe hire
Need a cheap Noosa Everglades Tour and have plenty of time and energy on your hands?
We also have canoes available! Unlike our fibreglass expedition kayaks, Canoes are not fast…but they will get you there…eventually. For this reason, we start the Self Guided canoe tours A LOT earlier than the kayak tours and they are a ‘good weather’ option only. If the weather goes bad, we will likely have to either cancel your tour or you will need to choose to upgrade to our expedition kayaks at an extra cost as we want to do our best to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
OR!! If you have roof racks or a trailer, why not throw it on the roof racks and drive to Harrys Hut so you start paddling from the middle of the Everglades!? *see important tour details at the bottom of the page*
Options:
Single day Self Guided departing Elanda Point
Multi day Self Guided departing Elanda Point
Canoe hire from Boreen Point, strap it to your 4WD and head to Harry’s Hut to start your paddling from within the Everglades
Shuttle service note: Because of the early start times required for these tours, we are not able to provide a morning shuttle service :(
Consider staying in one of the super affordable rooms at the Apollonian Hotel the night before and we can pick you up from there in the morning and shuttle you back to Noosa in the afternoon when you have finished :).
Charges apply for the shuttle service back to Noosa.

+ NOTES:
- We cannot help you secure the canoe to your vehicle (it’s a liability thing) so make sure you bring your own ratchet straps...and you have googled how to use them!
- The canoes weigh approximately 40kg so make sure your roof racks can take that weight.
- Yes you can absolutely put it on your trailer as well.
- You will need a 4WD to get to Harry’s Hut. ‘She’ will not ‘be right’ as the drive is a minimum of an hour and at least half of that is unsealed and half of that is often deep ruts, wet mud and sometimes moderately deep still water.
- We will ask for a $300 safety deposit to make sure we get the canoe back…and in one piece.
Frequently Asked Questions
+ How much harder are canoes to use than fibreglass expedition kayaks?
At least twice as hard...and if you're not overly coordinated or fit, probably far more than that.
Canoes are built for stability, not speed or directional ability. Canoes also catch the wind much more than kayaks because they have higher sides.
But we completely understand that some people are on a budget and as long as you have the heart of an adventurer, you'll still have fun!...just a whole lot slower than someone in one of our expedition kayaks lol
+ Is there a weight limit?
Our Canoes are rated to 260kg...but they take a lot more than that!
+ what if the weather is bad?
Great question! If the wind is looking to be around 18-20km/h, we will likely contact you to see if you can reschedule or if you would like to cancel with full refund.
Rain doesn't stop adventure!...flooding does so we will cancel if it's flooding.
